Campus Connect groups

Every revival or awakening in a country can be traced back to a revival among students in Colleges and universities. We believe that even in India the nation's transformation will happen by reaching out to students. Currently, we are conducting college fellowships in 130 colleges in 6 cities. Each fellowship the students are taught from the Bible and also inspired to reach out to their non-christian friends with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Discipleship

The great commission is the pressing word to us. We have been focusing on making radical disciples who will be a reflection of Jesus Christ himself. We are a disciple making movement where every conversation is built on developing disciples. We teach them the scriptures so that they are rooted and built upon Christ. We believe that it is only the disciples who will impact the nations.

Training

We have been regularly teaching and training student leaders for the work of evangelism. As the post-modern world demands more sharp minds to counter the questions that arise against the whole idea of Christianity and the uniqueness of Christ. We conduct leadership camps exclusively for students where they are trained on the qualities of Christian leadership, effective evangelism, and how they can conduct a campus ministry in the colleges.

Social Upliftment

One of the marks of a radical disciple is the responsibility to serve the economically downtrodden, socially oppressed, and the most vulnerable people of society. URYM has always been in the frontline to lend a helping hand to those who are in need. We encourage students to involve them in these activities so that they will get the heart to serve people like the way Christ served them.

Missions/Outreach

At URYM we constantly remind ourselves that the lives of young people matter to God and we are always on the field to make sure harvest works are continuously happening. Every opportunity is capitalized and we create opportunities to do evangelistic programs like exam prayers, film shows, and Christmas parties in campuses and hangout spots of young people. We make sure every year mission teams are sent to North India as the statistics inform that 80% of churches in India are located in South India. We work in partnership with mission organizations and churches in North India. Passion for the lost is the heart-cry of URYM and we realize that is also the Lord’s heartbeat too.

Prayer

Prayer has been the backbone of URYM since its inception in 2001. We give more emphasis on praying as it was the most primary subject on which Jesus taught His disciples. We make sure students are also learning the art of prayer and every Saturday we have special intercessory prayer for the country at our centers. We also organize 24/7 prayers in our prayer rooms where students can enroll themselves to come and pray. We believe that the Lord has appointed us as watchmen on the walls who will continually stand in the gap on behalf of the youngsters.
