Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Warm greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We are honored to share what the Lord has been doing through URYM across India. From city to city God’s grace and your unwavering support have enabled us to reach, disciple, and empower the students in various University and colleges.
Christmas Outreach: 30 Locations, One Message of Hope
- In December, the gospel of Christ was proclaimed in over 30 locations including various places in Chennai, Trichy, Salem, Kovilpatti, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi. We’ve witnessed God’s transformative power in the lives of young people involved in our outreach programs. Powerful testimonies reveal transformations and freedom from drug addiction through God’s forgiveness, inspiring young people to commit their lives to Him and serve their communities.
Mission Trips: Expanding the Harvest
We have been sending our full-time workers and volunteers to the mission fields to pray for the harvest, and plan and prepare to plant new fellowships.
- Two staff traveled to Trichy on February 18th for four days. Despite strict college rules, we were blessed to connect with students on campus, creating opportunities for impactful relationships.
- On Feb 23rd, our two staff members travelled to Madurai, met new students in the colleges of Madurai.
- In the month March from 14th to 25th, two staff from Chennai visited our staff in Delhi. They conducted a Youth meeting for the students. Around 40 students participated and the Holy Spirit poured out his power on the youths. 3 students have and committed their lives to volunteer with us. Praise God!
- Our 3 team members along with 2 volunteers travelled to Indore, Madhyapradesh. We are conducting a regular online fellowship for them. God has given the burden for the souls to one of the volunteers.
Exam Prayer Outreach
In the Month of March and April, we had exam prayers for college students. Exams create significant stress for students, and we seize this opportunity to make an impact. We have conducted powerful prayer sessions on 12 campuses, drawing in around 150 students. There was a great response from the other faith students, many students eager to learn more about Him.
Leadership Camps
– Girls’ Camp (Jan 24–26): 40 young women were equipped for ministry.
– Boys’ Camp (Feb 21–23): 25 young men were strengthened in faith.
These camps were focused on equipping the student leaders to efficiently accomplish God’s purpose in their respective colleges. These camps were filled with intercession and spiritual renewal.
One-Day Retreats
- Every Month we are conducting One Day Retreats and Special zonal meetings.
- We intercede for the lost souls, teach and train the student leaders, equip them with leadership skills, and send them as missionaries to their colleges and areas to win their friends and colleagues with the gospel.
- As we are conducting these meetings, many volunteers have been raised, connected and discipled. Many of them have become strong and bold leaders in their respective colleges taking initiatives for the regular fellowships.
- Most of them have committed themselves to getting equipped for the ministry as volunteers.
Volunteer Commissioning
God has sent us into this world to fulfill His mission. He has breathed His Holy Spirit in us (John 20:21-22). God has joined many volunteers along these two decades of ministry, and as new volunteers are joining hands together to serve the God given vision, we had a meeting for our volunteers to be filled by the Holy Spirit and work for the Lord’s kingdom. On 20th March, around 20 boys attended the meeting. As our staff members work for the vision of the URYM, these volunteers play a very significant role. God has been gracious to connect spirit filled, anointed and gifted youngsters. Some of them would volunteer for the regular fellowships; most of them would work along with our team for special outreach programs.
ABLAZE 2025 – A Life-Changing Encounter
- For the last two decades God has enabled us to organize the Annual Discipleship Camp- ABLAZE, at Yellagiri Hills.
- Last Year it was attended by 400 youngsters. Many young lives have been touched, transformed, and turned to God through this camp. There are numerous testimonies of God bringing young people to Him to fulfill His purpose in their lives. Hundreds of students have received an anointing of the Holy Spirit, their relationship with God is restored in this camp, and many of them have joined with us to work as volunteers, part-time, and full-time workers.
- Today, with the influence of social media, entertainment and post-modern culture, it is a real challenge to win over the youngsters and lead them to live a holy life, but we have experienced God’s Spirit working and making it work. This year it is our prayer that the upcoming camp would be a blessing to the youngsters.
